Today is your first day with Amigo Treks & Expedition; therefore, we send one of our company representatives to receive you at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), who will further escort you to a tourist standard hotel. Upon reaching hotel, check in at hotel. Dinner and Overnight at Hotel Kathmandu.

The capital, Kathmandu valley itself, is a big storehouse of exclusive natural, cultural and historical sites. Therefore, today, we take you on a few hour tours to the major attractions of Kathmandu valley. After spending few hours observing these wonderful sites, we again meet for a few hours to finalize your clothing and trekking gears (down jacket, trekking boots, sleeping bags etc.) required during the trek. The night will be spent at a hotel in Kathmandu.

(Highlights of the day: World Heritage sites like Kathmandu Durbar Square (a historical structure offering architectural wonders), the Pashupatinath temple (a Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva- lord possessing the power of destruction), Swyambhunath and Bouddhanath (a Buddhist shrine dedicated to Lord Buddha- Light of Asia.
Optional site: Another World Heritage site ‘Patan Durbar Square’ along with other historical masterpieces like Mahabouddha Temple, Krishna Temple, Golden Temple and Kumbeshwor Temple.)
Besisahar is the destination set for the day. Early in the morning, our guides will pick you up at your hotel and escort you to the bus station to catch a bus to Besisahar. The bus heads west, leaving the Kathmandu Valley and the journey continues on a winding Prithvi Highway along the Trisuli River till Dumre. From Dumre, the bus heads north towards Besisahar, following the Marsyangdi River. After about 7 hours ride we reach the destination, Besisahar. The bus will stop twice, once for breakfast and then for lunch, before reaching Besisahar. The night will be spent at a lodge in Besisahar.

(Highlights of the day: Winding highway along the Trishuli and Marsyangdi River, incredible view of waterfalls, rivers, jungles, hamlets higher up on the hills, terraced fields flaunting seasonal crops, different vegetations, and the curious faces of people running motels, restaurants and lodges along the highway.)
Bahundanda is the destination set for the day. Following the dusty road from Besisahar, the journey continues north towards Bhulbhule. The trail passes through rice terraces and the sub-tropical forest. Khudi and Bhulbhule greet us with the first view of Manaslu, Himchuli and Nagdi Chuli. Enjoying the view of the mountains and the waterfall, we then soar up to the Nadi Bazaar on the trail along the Marsyangdi River. Leaving Nadi Bazaar, we cross the bridge across the Nadi River and a steep hike past the Landslide area and Lampata will finally take us to Bahundanda. The evening can be spent exploring the settlement of Bahundanda. The night will be spent at a lodge in Bahundanda.

(Highlights of the day: First view of Manaslu, Himchuli and Nagdi Chuli, beautiful view of the waterfall, and the trail accompanied by sub-tropical forest, rice terraces, roaring Marsyangdi River and the little settlements of Gurung and Tamang people; their temple, monasteries and Mane.)
Chamje is the destination of the day. From Bahundanda, we hike down to Syange through the rice terraces, following the east bank of the Marsyangdi River. Syange greets us with a view of 111m long waterfall. Enjoying the view of the waterfall, we now cross the bridge across the Marsyangdi River and continue on a tough trail along the west bank of the river up till Jagat, which greet us with another beautiful view of the waterfall. From Jagat, a steep climb on a trail along the river will finally take us to Chamje, which again greets us with a beautiful view of 202m long waterfall. The night will be spent at a lodge in Chamje.

Bagarchhap is the destination of the day. Crossing the bridge across the Marsyangdi River, we first hike up to Sattale. Enjoying the fields of Marijuana, we now ascend on the steep stone trail towards the Manang district, leaving the Lamjung district behind. The trail still along the Marsyangdi River takes us to the first village of the Manang district, Tal, which greets us with a typical entrance gate influenced by the Tibetan culture. Leaving the village of Tal, we hike up to Kyodo, crossing the landslide area, where we cross a bridge across the Marsyangdi River and continue up till Dharapani. From Dharapani, enjoying the forest of Pine and Fir, we walk up to Bagarchhap. The evening can be spent exploring the village of Bagarchhap. The night will be spent at a lodge in Bagarchhap.

(Highlights of the day: Cultivated fields of corn, barley, maize, potato as well as marijuana, Apple orchards, forest of Pine, Rhododendron, Bamboo and Fir, Manang district and Tibetan villages with archetypal flat roofed stone houses and decorated with prayer flags and the glimpses of the lifestyle and culture of the Tibetan people.)
Chame is the destination of the day. Taking the higher route, we first hike up to Danakyu that offers dramatic views of the mountains. A steep hike from Danakyu will take us to the village of Timang. Passing through the forest of Pine, we descend to the settlement of Latamro. We cross the bridge to the village of Thanckok. A gentle ascent, from the village will take us to the settlement of Koto. Chame, the district headquarter of the Manang district is very near to this village. We further walk until we are greeted with a big white gate at Chame. The night will be spent at a lodge in Chame.

(Highlights of the day: Splendid views of Manaslu and Annapurna II, waterfalls, the forest of Pine, Oak as well as Rhododendron, Marsyangdi River and the Bhotia villages decorated with colorful prayer flags fluttering in the breeze and depicting the culture and lifestyle the Manangis.)
Pisang is the destination of the day. Leaving Chame, the trail initially following the south bank of the river crosses the river and continues on the trail along the north bank of the Marsyangdi River. Beautiful Apple orchards greet you as soon as you cross the settlement of Talekhu. Crossing the Apple orchards, the trail gently ascends to Bhratang, where you can get the view of the ruined buildings of old Bhratang and the memorial to Japanese Mountainer Akira Ochiai at Chemyau Kharka. After a little hike, the trail passes through the Swargadwari bridge and enters a peaceful forest of pine. As it enters, it presents the beautiful view of Swargdwari Danda. The trail then heads towards the lower Pisang crossing Dhikur Pokhari, and Chauwi Khola through the forest. Now, on crossing the bridge across the Marsyangdi River, we finally reach the beautiful settlement of Pisang. The evening can be spent hiking up to the settlement of upper Pisang for the purpose of acclimatization. The night will be spent at a lodge in Pisang.

(Highlights of the day: A pleasant walk through the apple orchards and peaceful pine forest, view of the memorial to Japanese Mountainer Ochiai, ruined buildings of old Bhratang, splendid view of Annapurna and Lamjung Himal, and the lifestyle and culture of people in the settlement of Chame, Lower Pisang, Pisang and Upper Pisang, a visit to monasteries and temples for additional information on culture and religion.)
The base camp of the Pisang peak is the destination set for the day. We check the climbing gears before attempting further altitude. Now, leaving Pisang, we hike up to the Upper Pisang. After reaching the Upper Pisang, we head up, towards the base camp of the Pisang peak; through sparse wood and pastures. The walk continues up till the flat alpine section along the well worn trail, where we set our camp for the night. The night will be spent in a tented camp.

High camp of the Pisang peak is the destination set for the day. Leaving the forest and the pastures way behind the trail, we now head towards the southwest ridge of the Pisang Peak. After walking for about 3-4 hours, we reach the high camp, where we set our camp for overnight stay. Once the camp is set, the climbing guide will give you the final training required to climb the peak, check the climbing gears and equipments and help you with some tips. The night will be spent in a tented camp at the high camp.

Today is a great day as we ascend to the summit of the Pisang peak. We start early in the morning from the high camp. Initially, the trail passes through the rocky, icy and hanging glaciers, which makes climbing a little difficult. The middle part of the peak demands technical climbing skill in 45 degrees and the help of fixed rope in every step of the upward hike. However, after crossing these parts, reaching the summit is much easier. Enjoying the view of the surrounding peaks, spending some time taking snaps, we now hike all the way down to the base camp of the Pisang peak past the high camp. The night will be spent in a tented camp at the base camp of the Pisang Peak.

(Highlights of the day: The summit of the peak, experience of difficulty caused by icy, rocky and the hanging glacier trail, great view of the Annapurna group including Tilicho Peak, Annapurna II and IV, Gangapurna, Kangaru Peak & Valley, the glacial dome and the Marshyangdi Valley and the Manaslu range.)
Manang is the destination set for the day. Leaving the base camp, we first walk down to Pisang to catch the Annapurna circuit trail. From Pisang a gradual hike up the ridge presents us the first view the Manang Valley along with the views of Hume village, it’s short airstrip, and the magnificent views of Gangapurna, Annapurna II, III, Tilicho, Chulu, and Pisang. As we proceed, we cross villages like Humde and Braga that flaunt traditionally built Tibetan style houses and ancient monasteries. From the village of Braga, experiencing the change in the vegetation and landscape, we enter the dryer, colder and harsher part of the area in Manang. The evening can be spent exploring the Gompas and the settlement and the lifestyle of people in Manang. The night will be spent at a lodge in Manang.

(Highlights of the day: Drastic change in the vegetation and landscape, the drier part of the Manang district, splendid views of Pisang, Chulu, Annapurna II, III, Gangapuna and Tilicho peak, the lifestyle of the people in the Tibetan-influenced villages like Ghyaru, Humde, Mugje, Braga and Manang, a visit to ancient monasteries that present outstanding display of statues, Thankas and religious manuscripts.)
Ledar is the destination of the day. Leaving Manang, the trail heads north-west away from the Marsyangdi River. Today we walk past Tangki, Ghusang, Yak Kharka on a scrub juniper and alpine grass, a few meadows along the Thorung River. From Yak Kharka, passing the rocky landslide area, we cross a bridge across the stream that will straight away take us to the settlement of Ledar. The night will be spent at a lodge in Ledar.

(Highlights of the day: Tibetan influenced settlements like Manang, Tangki, Ghusang, and Yak Kharka, beautiful Thorung River, scrub juniper and alpine grasses, meadows for yak and horses to graze, Mani wall and monasteries, dry, arid and harsh landscape.)
Thorang Phedi is the destination of the day. Leaving the alpine grasses and the meadows behind, enjoying the magnificent views of mountains and amazing landscape, we slowly head toward the Thorang Phedi on the trail along the Kone River. We then cross a bridge across the Kone River, get to the west bank of the river and continue on a narrow path across a high, unstable slope up till the Thorang Phedi. If you aren’t experiencing any altitude problem, you can also discuss with your leader and hike up to the high camp for overnight. However, the better option is to stay at Phedi, before attempting further height. The night will be spent at a lodge in Thorang Phedi.

(Highlights of the day: The view of the amazing landscape, a combination of easy and rough trail, cliff walking experience and a few newly built guest houses, and the totally arid land in the Annapurna region.)
Muktinath is the destination of the day. It's going to be a tough day as we need to conquer the altitude of the highest pass (5,416m) in the Annapurna region of Nepal. As we need to reach the pass before 10 am, in order to avoid the violent wind around and after the noon, we start early in the morning. After about 4 hours walk on a steep, snowy and slippery trail we reach the top of the pass that greets us with prayer flags and a panorama of snow covered peaks. Enjoying the surrounding views from the pass, we quickly descend toward the destination of the day. After about 4 hours walk downhill on a rocky, harsh, narrow trail, we cross a bridge across the Thorong River and continue on a wide trail on a barren hillside that finally takes us to Muktinath in the Mustang district. The remaining day can be spent exploring the Muktinath area. The night will be spent at a lodge in Muktinath.

(Highlights of the day: Thorang La pass -5,416m above the sea level, panoramic view of the snow covered peaks from the pass, Muktinath – Buddhist (place of nirvana) and Hindu (god of salvation, shrine, 108 water sprouts and 2 Kundas – Laxmi and Saraswati- in the premises of Muktinath, Jwala Mai Temple, Lakhang and Gonde monasteries, Chortens and colorful prayer flags.)
Jomsom is the destination of the day. From Muktinath, we hike all the way down to Ekle Bhatti to the Kaliganaki Valley and the holy river, crossing Ranipauwa, Dhangladanga, Pethangdanda and a Thakali settlement of Lupra. You may also find some ‘Shaligrams’- fossils considered as a part of Lord Vishnu at the bank of the river. Following the stony, sandy trail along the river bank, enjoying the views of the mountains, we then descend to the beautiful Jomsom Village that offers a lot of additional attractions to spend the rest of the day. The remaining day can be spent enjoying these attractions. The night will be spent at a lodge in Jomsom.

(Highlights of the day: Settlements like Ranipauwa, Lupra, and Jomsom, the most dangerous airfield at Jomsom, the Kaligandaki Valley and the holy river, Mustang museum, sauna and internet cafes and Shiva and Ganesh temple at Jomsom, important monasteries en route to Jomsom, fossils, rough trail and the beautiful view of snowcapped peaks including Nilgiri.)
Though Kathmandu is the destination of the day, we first fly from Jomsom to Pokara as there is no direct flight from Jomsom to Kathmandu. A 20 min scenic flight over the deepest gorge in the world between Annapurna and Dhaulagiri will first bring us to the beautiful city of Pokhara. From Pokhara we catch a scenic flight to Kathmandu. (If you want to spend a day in Pokhara, we can make the necessary arrangements for you.) Once we arrive Kathmandu, you will be escorted to your hotel by one of our company representatives. Dinner & Overnight at Kathmandu.
